How do you make money with your proxy?

Most web proxies seem to use adsense as a way of generating income. What methods do you use of generating income?

I have heard of people even scrapping the idea of using advertising and going for a subscriber-based model. I think that model would be hard to take off unless you had a very large userbase though (and it'd have to be very good too)

I use adbrite and adsense, though Adsense is bad for proxy sites.
